Antioxidants can contribute to hypoxia by indiscriminately converting oxygen to water.  Oxygen is breathable everywhere in the body.  Water is not breathable anywhere (unless you're a fish). Antioxidants are not bad.  They are good, but Spin Trap is better. Too many antioxidants are bad. The more Spin Trap, the better.

In his book, The Wrinkle Cure, Dr. Perricone writes about Spin Traps: "Spin Traps: Stopping Free-Radical Damage Before it begins".  Amino guanidine- Reported in the January/February issue of Medical Spa Magazine and listed in the TOP TEN Advancements in Anti-Aging Medicine 2002: "Anti-A.G.E.s for Anti-aging: New research suggests that blood pressure drugs called ACE inhibitors, which help diabetics to lower their risk of developing complications, could be used to develop drugs that delay the effects of aging. Part of the reason why diabetics tend to age faster than non-diabetics is that their high-blood sugar levels encourages the body to produce complex proteins called "Advanced Glycation End-products" (A.G.E.s). These proteins interfere with cell functioning, accumulate in skin making it look wrinkly, and stiffen blood vessels. Now researchers at the Baker Institute in Melbourne, Australia have found that ACE inhibitors appear to exert their anti-aging effects by preventing the build-up of A.G.E.s." Amino guanidine prevents the buildup of Advanced Glycation End-products. It works by helping to prevent the A.G.E. products from attaching to the collagen fibrils in the skin. By preventing the A.G.E.s from collecting on the fibrils, amino guanidine helps in keeping the skin soft and supple. SIRCUIT^®'s DREAM WEAVER^TM, SIRCUIT ADDICT^TM and I. CEE. Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF):  Derived from yeast. As our skin ages, the communication between the various layers of skin is hindered because of a critical decrease in the number of growth-factor receptors.  Therefore, EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) is the single most important substance for development and maintenance of both the epidermis and dermis. It is a protein that works to heal and repair the stratum corneum, by directly stimulating proliferation of growth-factor receptors. O.M.G. What's so bad about Sodium Laurel Sulfate??? It's in everything!

Well, for starters, Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS) denatures protein (skin and hair are made up of protein). It is also a mutagen. This means that it is capable of changing the information in genetic material found in cells. It is also an eye irritant. One study to determine the effect of SLS in the eye found that SLS is rapidly taken up and accumulated by eye tissues and retained for up to five days (which is particularly harmful to the developing eyes of young children - and I thought it was just about tears!). It was also found to cause changes in some proteins of eye tissues and it can extend the healing time in injured eyes. SLS can damage the outer layer of skin, causing dryness, roughness, scaling, fissuring and loss of flexibility, and can reduce the barrier function of normal healthy skin.  Sodium Laurel Sulfate is also a comedogenic. SIRCUIT^® products contain NO Sodium Laurel Sulfates.

What's the first thing you think of when you hear about Enantiomers vs. Racemic molecules in Chiral Technology? Let me guess; Was it beautiful, healthy skin? No? Well, it should've been, because this thing called Chiral Technology is (forgive the pun) changing the face of skin care, as well as many other industries.
 
The word "Chiral" (rhymes with spiral) refers to a phenomenon discovered by Louis Pasteur back in the 1850's. While looking through a microscope, he observed that molecules were divided into two asymmetric sides that were mirror images of each other. Think of it like a pair of hands facing each other, mirror images that fit together perfectly. Pasteur chose the term "Chiral", from the Greek word "chir", which means hand. Chiral technology, or molecule separation (single Enantiomers), is what we are talking about here.

Now, if you're like me, and you ditched chemistry class on a semi-regular basis, all this is getting a little thick. But hang with me, I promise I'm going to show you how all this Greek is going to give you healthier, happier, more beautiful skin, and clean your oven! .... Just kidding about the oven.

All molecules are made up of two sides; there's a left side, referred to as the "L" side, and a right side, referred to as the "D" side. ("L" stands for left side and "D" stands for Deuterium, which is Greek for right.) Are you with me so far? Really?

Now here's where it gets interesting: the receptors in our bodies, whether they be skin cells or brain cells or heart cells, perform much, much better when they connect up with a specific, matching half of the molecule. We also know that our body receptors are selective (some are exclusively "L", others exclusively "D"). When an "L" body receptor connects with a "D" side of an ingredient molecule, bad things can potentially happen.  Conversely, when an "L" body receptor connects with an "L" side of an ingredient molecule, it's a perfect match (or fit) and very good things happen, all the way down to the cellular level. The bottom line is, with the use of this "molecule separation" technology, you get the full benefit of the ingredient, and you have pretty much eliminated the potential for adverse reactions.

By separating the molecules and designing products that fit perfectly with the body cell receptors, the products are just more effective with better results. It really is just that simple.

Whether you know it or not, you're already making use of Chiral Technology every time you take a vitamin pill.
