Established in 1872, the pier also offers several restaurants and a seaside stroll to the end of the pier gives a breathtaking view of the ocean.
See Canyon RoadLocated one mile off of San Luis Bay Drive, See Canyon Road is a great detour before reaching Avila Beach. During the fall, visitors can buy freshly picked apples, cider and organic honey and any day of the year, see long horn cattle grazing on the hillside.
Pecho Coast TrailSince 1890, the Point San Luis Lighthouse has guarded trading ships that harbored here. Only accessible by boat or a guided hike, the Point San Luis Lighthouse is located along the Pecho Coast Trail. The trail, which is highly recommended, offers a nature hike and beautiful view of Avila Beach. |
