Come to the Monarch Butterfly preservation park and you will
experience the
delicious smell of eucalyptus wafting through the air. You will also
hear the waves of the sea because the beach is just a short walk from this
protected habitat of the beloved and endangered
Monarch Butterfly. Here are some pictures of the park
and the beautiful trails that cross this
well preserved area.
You can bring a picnic basket as there are benches available. I always opt for having our picnics at the nearby beach. I love
the vast rolling dunes and the perfect sand pipers. The dunes are
their nesting ground, so I always try to have minimal foot traffic there.
Bring a kite because the wind here is great for them.
Please note Docents of the park ask that you never disturb or touch
the butterflies in any way. Also stay on the provided paths at all
times. And always leave with what you came with, in other
words bring an extra
plastic bag for trash.
