Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo submitted Articles of Incorporation to the State of California in July of 1978.  In December of that year, the Company premiered “The Nutcracker,” under the direction of our founder and Artistic Director Emeritus, Lori Silvaggio.  The Civic Ballet has since presented to the community twenty eight seasons of sold-out performances, featuring guest artists as well as the company’s own incredibly talented dancers. Santa Barbara City College theater group.  Santa Barbara City College Theatre Group, with its direct ties to The Alhecama Players, is the longest running theatre in Santa Barbara. West Coast Symphony Mr. Story is music director and permanent conductor of the West CoastSymphony since 1966, the West Coast Chamber Orchestra since 1982, and theGoleta Valley Chamber Orchestra since 1987. Forest theater in Carmel The oldest outdoor community theater west of the Rockies.
