The pier in Pismo Beach CA is huge. You’ll find people strolling, having lunch, and, yes, fishing. With our local area as beautiful and abundant it is no wonder that this area is ranked so high amongst local and visiting fisherman!   And with over 100 miles of coastline to explore and fish you must take advantage of the many options you have.  There are fishing charters available.  You can even rent an electric boat in Morro Bay!  Local catches include rock cod, ling cod, petrel sole, halibut, swordfish and salmon.

For the adventurous Pier fishing and surf casting can be found just about everywhere in the county for the person who wants to just walk up and start fishing.

The Central Coast boasts 6 nicely sized lakes abundant in trout.  Including Lopez, Nacimiento, Santa Margarita, Whale Rock, San Antonio, and Cachuma. These reservoirs help the county manage its water supply, but they also provide terrific boating and fishing you will fully enjoy. Bring your boat! There are marinas at Lopez, Santa Margarita, and Lake Nacimiento (west of Paso Robles in the north county).
