The Santa
Barbara Pier!
When you see the dolphin fountain, you know you are at the pier
and in store fun. Boutique shops offer gifts and treats.
Pick up a t-shirt or take a stroll through the museum to absorb the incredible facts and history
of Santa Barbara!
If the ocean air starts to make you hungry then try a
bite to eat at Moby Dicks. I love the art both inside and out, and
the memorabilia rivals a small museum. The staff is friendly and
informative. The owner is almost always there and he loves kids.
When we visit, and the kids are good at lunch or dinner, he
opens up a drawer in his mahogany dresser which is overflowing with
little toys and treats that the kiddies get to take home. Its easy
to have a great experience at Moby Dick's because the moment you
sit down they bringing you fresh bread rolls from the oven. My
boys love the clam chowder.
Your experience at the pier can also get you a glimpse
of the many hungry gulls, pelicans and sea lions which lounge around and
make a lot of noise. They must like the attention. Enjoy!
